Day 1: Marrakech ⇢ High Atlas Mountains ⇢ Skoura ⇢ Dades Gorges

Your 4-day desert tour from Marrakech kicks off with a hassle-free pick-up from your hotel. As we leave Marrakech, we will traverse the breathtaking High Atlas mountains via the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass. Along the way, your friendly guide and driver will stop at the most scenic locations, and you are welcome to request breaks whenever you like.

After enjoying a delicious lunch in either Ait Ben Haddou or Ouarzazate, we will continue our journey towards Dades Gorges, passing through the charming Skoura and the beautiful Rose Valley. In the lush oasis of Skoura, you can choose to visit the impressive Amridil Kasbah, one of Morocco’s most stunning fortified villages. If you’re traveling in the spring, we can also make a special stop to see the valley in full bloom, showcasing a breathtaking array of roses during this season.

Upon reaching Dades Gorges, prepare to be captivated by the remarkable rock formations known as “monkey fingers,” all while enjoying a breathtaking panoramic view of the gorge. Afterward, we will proceed to your hotel for some relaxation, dinner, and a well-earned overnight stay.

Day 2: Dades Gorges ⇢ Todra Canyon ⇢ Merzouga desert

Begin your day with a delightful breakfast, then embark on a picturesque drive along the Dades and Todra Rivers, flanked by lush palm groves and charming Berber villages. Your journey will lead you to the stunning Todra Gorge in Tinghir, renowned as one of the most breathtaking canyons in the world! After exploring the gorge, continue your adventure to the Merzouga desert.

Before arriving at the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, your driver/guide will recommend a stop at a traditional Berber shop. Here, you can take complimentary photos while dressed in a Berber outfit! If you wish, you can purchase items such as scarves that are perfect for the desert or other souvenirs. However, there’s no obligation to buy anything; the shop primarily aims to showcase Berber culture. Just inform your driver/guide if you prefer to skip the visit.

Upon your arrival in Merzouga, prepare for a camel trek into the desert to witness the breathtaking sunset over the dunes and indulge in some sandboarding. Later, you’ll spend the night in a luxurious desert camp, where you can savor a delicious dinner and immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of the Sahara after dark.

DAY 3: DADES VALLEY ⇢ TODRA CANYON ⇢ MERZOUGA DESERT

Start your day with a delightful breakfast to energize you for the exciting adventure that lies ahead. Journey through the breathtaking landscapes along the Dades and Todra Rivers, where lush palm groves and authentic Berber villages await. Your first stop will be the magnificent Todra Gorge in Tinghir, renowned worldwide for its stunning scenery.

As you make your way to the enchanting Merzouga desert, our knowledgeable driver/guide will recommend a visit to a traditional Berber shop. This is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in Berber culture by trying on traditional attire and taking memorable photos, all at no extra cost. If you’re interested, you can also explore desert essentials like scarves or unique souvenirs. However, there’s no obligation to buy anything; the shop visit is simply a chance to appreciate Berber culture. If you’d prefer to skip the shop, just inform your guide, and we’ll continue on our journey without any interruptions.

When you arrive in Merzouga, prepare for an unforgettable camel trek into the desert’s core. Marvel at the stunning sunset casting its glow over the sand dunes, and enjoy the exhilarating experience of sandboarding. As darkness descends, head to a luxurious desert camp where a delicious dinner is ready for you. Embrace the enchanting beauty of the desert beneath a starry sky, immersing yourself in its timeless charm and crafting unforgettable memories of this extraordinary adventure.
DAY 4: MERZOUGA DESERT ⇢ AGDEZ ⇢ HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS ⇢ MARRAKECH

After enjoying a delightful breakfast at your desert camp, we will set off on our return journey to the vibrant city of Marrakech. This time, our route will take us through the picturesque Draa Valley, known as the longest valley in Morocco. We will take a moment to stop in Agdez, where you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the valley, dotted with lush palm trees.

As we continue our journey, we will pause in Ouarzazate for a delicious lunch to recharge for the remainder of our trip. We will then traverse the magnificent High Atlas mountains once again on our way back to Marrakech. Upon arrival, we will ensure you are safely dropped off at your Riad.
DAY 5: EXPLORE MARRAKECH

Start your final day of this enchanting 5-day Marrakech itinerary with a delicious breakfast at your Riad. Our knowledgeable local guide is eager to introduce you to the city’s top attractions, sharing fascinating stories about iconic sites such as Jemaa El-Fna Square, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Madrassa, and the Koutoubia Mosque.
