Detailled Itineray
Day 1: Ouarzazate – Agdez – Zagora
Pick up from your hotel or riad in Ouarzazate. Begin with a tour of the “Hollywood of Morocco” by visiting Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Film Studios. Then take the scenic Anti Atlas route towards Zagora via the charming village of Agdez, admiring the sparkling oasis of the Draa Valley. Enjoy lunch at a Berber restaurant before arriving in Zagora, known as the “Desert Gate.”
In the late afternoon, embark on a camel ride to watch the stunning sunset over the desert. In the evening, enjoy dinner around the campfire accompanied by nomadic songs and drum rhythms. Spend a magical night in a traditional Berber tent.
Day 2: Zagora – Merzouga Sahara Desert
Depart from Zagora heading towards the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes of Merzouga. Enjoy the diverse desert landscapes and stop for lunch in Alnif village. Continue through the Draa Valley, Taghbalt, and Rissani before reaching Merzouga.
Experience an unforgettable camel trek to the high dunes just in time for the sunset. Spend the night at the Erg Chebbi desert camp, where Berber music and a delicious dinner await you.
Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Ouarzazate
Rise early to witness a spectacular Sahara sunrise, where the colors and shadows on the dunes create an unforgettable scene. Journey back towards Ouarzazate via Erfoud, famous for its fossilized marble workshops which you can visit.
Next, stop at the Todra Gorges, perfect for walking and exploring on your own. Enjoy lunch before continuing through the Valley of Roses at Kelaa M’Gouna. Finally, drive through the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” passing the palm groves of Skoura, arriving back in Ouarzazate for your hotel or riad drop-off.
