Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

Arrive in Tangier by plane or boat from Spain. Begin your journey driving through the Rif Mountains to the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen, known for its distinctive blue-washed buildings and vibrant markets. Explore the old medina, the red-walled Kasbah fortress, and enjoy panoramic views from the surrounding hills. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Fes

After breakfast, head to Fes. Visit the Royal Palace and Jewish Quarter (Mellah), then admire views over the ancient medina from the southern tower. Wander the UNESCO-listed medina’s labyrinthine streets filled with guilds of potters and dyers, absorbing the medieval atmosphere where time seems to stand still. Overnight in a riad in Fes.

Day 3: Fes – Middle Atlas – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Travel south to Ifrane, nicknamed “Little Switzerland” for its alpine charm. Visit cedar forests inhabited by wild Barbary macaques. Continue to Midelt for lunch, then cross the stunning Ziz Valley filled with lush palm groves. Arrive in Merzouga, where a camel caravan awaits to take you into the desert. Watch the sunset over the dunes, then enjoy dinner and a night in a traditional Berber tent under a star-filled sky.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

Wake early to catch the sunrise over the desert dunes, then return to Merzouga by camel. Drive to Erfoud with the option to visit a fossil marble workshop. Continue through palm groves to the spectacular Todra Gorges, a paradise for climbers with towering rock walls. After lunch and a short walk, proceed to Dades Valley, known for its dramatic landscapes and “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Continue to Ouarzazate and overnight at a riad.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Visit Ouarzazate’s film studios and Kasbah Taourirt. Travel to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its appearances in Hollywood films. After lunch, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, stopping for photos of the breathtaking views. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.

Day 6: Marrakech – Departure

Enjoy a free morning to explore Marrakech at your leisure before transfer to the airport to conclude your 6-day adventure from Tangier to Marrakech.
