Morning
You’ll depart early from Marrakech, heading south through the High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, there will be opportunities to stop for photos and admire the ever-changing landscape dotted with Berber villages.
Late Morning
Arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic ksars. You’ll have time to explore the narrow alleys of this clay-built fortress, learning about its history and its role in famous films.
Afternoon
Continue on to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Desert.” Here, you can visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, a beautiful example of Moroccan earthen architecture. You also have the option to explore the Atlas Studios, where many Hollywood and international films were shot.
Late Afternoon – Early Evening
Begin the return journey to Marrakech, once again crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. You’ll arrive back at your accommodation in the early evening.
